The Whalley Range Community First Fund
The final round of Whalley Range Community First Funding is now open for applications of between £250-£1000
all applications must be submitted by September 26th
(Please be aware all funding needs to be spent in full by February 2015)
Groups/individuals who operate or live in Whalley Range and whose proposals would benefit residents and be deliverable in Whalley Range will be considered.
Projects need to demonstrate matched funding which means that every £1 provided in funding must be matched by a similar amount of in-kind donations – this means donations of cash, services, free products or volunteer time (calculated at £11.09 per hour)
Applicants can apply for between £250-£1000 for their project (more details can be found on the website)
Priorities identified by Whalley Range residents were approved by the Community Development Foundation and applications must demonstrate the following:
1. How the project fits with the criteria:
• Promote local & green employability
• Promote local health & wellbeing
• Promote local community cohesion &involvement
• Champion local environment awareness & community engagement
• Promote local capacity building.
2. Demonstrate how project fits and will meet the needs of the community.
3. That at least one of the project funding holders live in ‘the area of Whalley Range’.
4. That the project will benefit ‘the area of Whalley Range’.
